Saud Bahwan Group IT Infrastructure Managed Services – 20 years and ongoing

Overview

One of Oman’s largest family conglomerates with business interests covering several sectors including automotive, heavy vehicles, turnkey projects, property and real estate, travel and tourism, manufacturing and finance, SBG has state-of-the-art infrastructure across 50+ locations in Oman and UAE. The company relies heavily on high-level communication between its numerous locations to be able to provide its customers with the best-in-class service and support. The company’s in-house IT team were facing issues with IT support and response times across their locations and approached Khimji Ramdas Information & Communications Technology division to seek a comprehensive solution.

Solution

Our team (mostly deployed full time at SBG locations) manage the company’s complete infrastructure support, project related or day-to-day maintenance for all locations across Oman. We also render proactive maintenance of hardware and infrastructure to avoid blackout time periods and hence loss of productivity. We support SBG across the standard time shifts as well as during their extended time shifts to match their showroom timings and peak Ramadan sales timings.

Result

KICT’s round the clock IT assistance in maintaining and supporting their own IT department has helped them improve efficiency throughout the organization. SBG enjoys maximum uptime and can count on rapid response to errors or failures. Security management has also been improved and this includes software patches, virus protection as well as storage and back up.

Conclusion

With dedicated technical account managers the KICT team delivers above and beyond the expectations of the client, which has resulted in a sustained relationship of over 20 years now.
