Synthetic outdoor sports courts for the Al Amerat School

Overview

The Ministry of Education schools’ outdoor courts either had an epoxy coat surface or a 12mm thick synthetic surface. They wanted a safer surface, which was also cost effective.

Solution

The Khimji Ramdas Sports & Fitness team proposed the 28mm thick Stobitan P synthetic multi court system from StockMeier Urethanes (Germany). While the extra surface thickness enhanced safety the system was also cost effective as it did not require a concrete sub-base.

Result

The proposal was well accepted and since it was our first project for them using this particular solution it led to several other projects with them using similar products and systems.

Conclusion

Our team worked closely with the client at the inception stage of the project and educated them about the advantages and disadvantages of the various options available in the market. The successful installation of these new systems helps us set trends in the market and gains us an upper hand over our competitors.
